Bryan holds a B.S. in economics and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. He completed the requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee in 1984. Bryan spent several years in banking and other endeavors before attaining certification. His certificate is now in retirement status.
Since locating to Athens in 1980 to join the faculty at Tennessee Wesleyan University, Bryan has been involved in many civic affairs, including the presidency/chairmanship of the McMinn County Economic Development Authority, the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, The Athens Kiwanis Club, the United Way (where he twice chaired the President’s Council), and Holston Home United Methodist Home for Children. He presently serves as Vice Chairman of Holston Home, as well as Treasurer of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church, where he and his family have been active members for more than thirty years. He was a member of the Tennessee United Community Bank Board for fifteen years before retiring in 2019.
Bryan opened Bryan A. Jackson, CPA in 1984, and joined with Carter Runyan in 1997 in organizing Jackson and Runyan, CPA’s, PLLC, one of the predecessor firms of WarrenJackson CPA’s, PLLC.
His current activities include pastoring Red Hill United Methodist Church in Bradley County, serving on several for-profit and nonprofit boards of directors, and he is a consultant to several local business entities. He especially enjoys mentoring his young associates in the firm, and watching them progress in growing WarrenJackson into the finest accounting firms in East Tennessee.
Bryan is devoted to his family, including his wife Beth, to whom he has been married for 47 years, and his three children and his four granddaughters. His spare time activities include the occasional round of golf in Scotland and following the Tennessee Vols.
